Rite of Paths

 

Also called the Rite of Passage. It involves several steps, the first is utilizing one's power to cross over into one of the other Folds of the World. For most this is the 2nd fold, but for some the 3rd is easier. Shortcuts generally don't count unless they are specifically bound up in their true nature. For example a Fae could use a fairy circle, but using another, more general sort of gateway wouldn't count. Then they must decide to undergo the rite, the rituals or such for that vary depending on nature. Then they must find their key, something tied to them they can use to access a different aspect of themselves. Then they must find the door to their personal structure. All that is merely the first half of the rite. The second half varies depending on the nature and individual. It usually involves some sacrifice and reward. At the end they can access the remaining Fold somehow and often gain their own personal “structure” which is usually a small Wrinkle that sometimes exists on more than one Fold. There is a potential for being entirely altered by this Rite.
